states have been included. Of which Tamilnadu's Tiruppur is also one. The fate
of the candidates will be decided on April 18 and the results will come on May
23.
General elections in the country have been announced for the
general elections. Election Commission has declared elections in 543
parliamentary seats in seven phases in the country. Process to be started from
April 11 to form a new government. In which 91 seats will be cast, this will be
the first phase of the elections. Voting in the last phase will be on May 19,
after which the results of the entire country will be announced on May 23 In
the second phase elections, a total of 97 seats of 13 states have been
included. Out of which Tiruppur seat of Tamilnadu is also one.
Following the process of cancellation of nomination and
withdrawal of nomination from this parliamentary constituency, the final names
have got green signal from the Election Commission, in which the names are in
the main parties-
Iyannar C. (Bahujan Samaj Party),
Anandan MSM (All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam)
Subbaraun (Communist Party of India)
Jagannath P (National Social Party)
Chandirakumar VS (Makkal Nidhi Myayam),
Jagannath P (named Tamer Katchi).
Also, Independent candidates include Kathiresan L, Kangaraj
P, Kumar D, Senthil A, Selvam SR, Rajkumar S.
2014 mandate of Tiruppur Lok Sabha seat
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, AIADMK candidate V.
Satyabama got 4,42,778 votes out of 13,75,589 votes. While his rival and DMDK
candidate N. Dinesh Kumar got 2,63,463 votes while the DMK got 2,05,411 votes
and Congress 47,554 votes. Only 13,941 votes were filed in its Avola Nota
account.
According to the 2014 vote counting, 76.34 percent voting
was done. In which 77.97 per cent men and 74.68 per cent women voted.
According to the 2011 census, the total population of
Tiruppur parliamentary constituency is 19,29,965. Out of which 37.66 percent of
the people live in rural areas, 62.34 percent are urban population. These
include 12.57 per cent Scheduled Caste (SC) and 0.43 per cent Scheduled Tribes
(ST) people.
In Tiruppur Parliamentary constituency, there are six
Assembly constituencies. Including Perundurai, Bhavani, Anthiyur,
Gobichettipalayam, Tiruppur North and Tiruppur South.
Significantly, on March 18, after the notification was
issued on March 18 in the first phase of the election, the last date for
nomination was on March 25. On the next day after the scuttle, voters of
parliamentary constituencies will be stamped on April 11 on the names of their
favorite candidates.
