Hawala trade in goods imported from China? CAIT demanded
inquiry
There is a possibility of hawala trading in goods imported
from China. Confederation of All India Traders has demanded the government to
investigate the matter. At the same time, it is also feared that the money of
the hawala business is not going to run terrorism for Pakistan.
Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has expressed
serious concerns about the items imported from China. CAIT said that there is a
huge amount of hawala business, which is why the Chinese goods are cheaper in
the market and the government seems to have a great deal of customs duty and
tax.
CAIT also questioned whether this money of hawala is not
given to Pakistan to carry out terrorist activities? In view of the seriousness
of the matter, CAIT has demanded from the government that all aspects of the
matter should be examined in depth and the culprits should be arrested. There
is a connivance with officials of Indian port somewhere in this.
CAIT said that less than the cost of goods imported from
China, the bill comes out and accordingly, it seems to be duty and IGST. This
leads to a huge loss of revenue to the government.
National President of CAIT BC Bhartia and National General
Secretary Pravin Khandelwal said, "Most of the goods imported from China
in our country come on very low cost billing. In many cases, the goods come in
something and the bill is anything else, so that at least the duty and the IGST
will be there. '
He said that if the goods imported and the items written in
the bills are matched, then it will know the difference between the two.
Keeping this in mind, there is a need for very strict monitoring on goods
coming from China on Indian ports.
Bharatya and Khandelwal also said that in this case the
officials of different departments along with the importer are involved in
this, due to which the business is running smoothly for a long time. This not
only destroys the environment of the Indian market, but has created a crisis
for the security of the country.
He also said that those who invent goods from China and give
IGST on them, should take input credit of IGST from the law, but if this case
is scrutinized, then it will know that no one has filed an input credit claim
That is because all the goods are sold in the market without bills and due to
this the goods are cheap.
At the same time, domestic products give full tax, due to
which the Chinese goods are expensive. He said that this matter is related to
the security of the country. Therefore, the government should take serious
steps to investigate all the aspects of this matter. For instance, if the goods
come from China, 50% more than the declared value of the government, then the
government will auction it, then the whole truth of this game will come out.
