This child, who was suffering from malnutrition, never went
to school, has become a star of Oscar
She was living a life of financial hardship, was a victim of
malnutrition and she did not have to write to her name. But today he is the
world's most prestigious Oscars
Is the star of the awards. Read this child's amazing story
In 2016, Jain Al Rafiya was a victim of malnutrition, he was
playing the role of delivery boy to help his family at the age of 11-12, and
thousands of Syrian refugees in Lebanon were living a difficult life like
refugees in the country. He had never seen the school's shape and did not even
want to write to his name.
But today, this 14-year-old child is the star of the movie
'Captainam', which has been nominated for the Oscars, has been staying in
Norway and the school has started to move. A movie has changed Jain's life
overnight. Jain and his family have been living in Norway for the past six
months. Jain and his three siblings are also going to school for the first time
in their life.
In this movie of filmmaker Nadine Labaki, Jean is playing
the character of a child born in Lebanon, but officially, she is not of any
country because her parents do not have the money to register her birth. He
gets very upset with these situations and makes a case against his own parents,
because despite being born they are unable to take care of him.
Jean's Real Life Story is also not less challenging. Jean's
father Ali Ar Rafia said, "We are residents of Syria and we had decided to
come to Lebanon in 2012, in view of the situation of war in Syria and violent
circumstances."
In the Lebanese city of Beirut, the situation got rid of the
war situation, but due to lack of work and the expensive place, problems
started coming to life. The Lebanese administration is against giving refuge to
Syrian refugees in a permanent place in their country. This is the reason why
there is no official Refugee Camps and Syrian people can work only in fields
like farming, cleaning and construction.
Jain's father said, 'Our economic condition was very bad. I
was working hard day and night. Despite this, my family could hardly have been
able to pass through. "
While the casting director of the film was in Beirut, the
12-year-old Jain was playing with his friends in the street. Jain also used to
work to support his family members. Jain never went to school due to leaving
Syria at a young age and he has had the bitter and difficult experiences of his
life on the screen of the film itself. The filmmaker Nadine Labaki had said,
"At the time I saw Jain, I thought how easy and sensible this boy is, his
future should not be wasted in these slums.
The movie was released and it received tremendous response
from viewers. Jain too came into the discussion with the release of the film.
Although moving from Lebanon to another country is not easy. According to one
estimate, only nine thousand of the 9.9 million Refugees living in Lebanon were
settled somewhere in 2018, but after the fame gained by the film, Jain's family
has managed to shift to Norway.
Ali said - 'I see the future of my children dark. But now I
can hope that my children can become educator and become a doctor. But at first
I could not think of such dreams. '
Even though Jain's life has not changed in the film, Jain's
life has changed completely in real life and how can people change their lives
overnight in the movie, Jain is a classic example of this.
