In the last six days, the price of petrol in the country's capital Delhi was 63 paise, while the price of diesel was 1.13 paise per liter. Last Tuesday, the price of oil was cut. On Tuesday, oil companies cut petrol prices by 7 paise and diesel by 20-22 paise per liter.

Expect further cuts

Meanwhile, crude oil prices in the international market have again softened. In such a situation, prices of petrol and diesel are expected to decline. According to energy expert Narendra Taneja, after the recent fall in crude oil prices in the international market, prices of petrol and diesel will be reduced in India, which will provide relief to the common consumers.

The impact of the slowdown in the crude oil prices in the international market is seen in India after about two weeks on the price of petrol and diesel. In the August delivery contract of benchmark crude oil on international forward market Intercontinental Exchange, the trading volume was trading at $ 61.74 per barrel with a 0.37 per cent weakness against the previous session on Wednesday.
