Kashmir: Police
Jammu and Kashmir Police have advised the candidates
contesting the Lok Sabha elections that do not show any road show during the
campaigning and go somewhere after the approval from the district
administration. No roadshows will be allowed for security reasons, but after
approval from the district administration, public meetings will be allowed at
the scheduled places.
Keeping in view the Lok Sabha elections, Jammu and Kashmir
Police issued advisory for candidates. He said that do not organize any road
show during the election campaign. And only after the approval from the
district administration can go somewhere. No roadshows will be allowed for
security reasons, but after approval from the district administration, public
meetings will be allowed at the scheduled places.
Official sources said that in this advice Lok Sabha
candidates have been asked to go to different districts only after informing
the District Magistrate and the SSP. The venue of the public meeting in the
district will be decided only after the permission of DM and SSP. Along with
this, a detailed consultation has been issued to all the candidates and the
heads of their parties in the state.
