RLD's entry into SP-BSP alliance will replace West UP's
equation
In the alliance of SP-BSP in Uttar Pradesh, Chaudhary Ajit
Singh's party has been the entry of the National Lok Dal (RLD). In the account
of RLD, Baghpat, Muzaffarnagar and Mathura Lok Sabha seats of West Uttar
Pradesh have come. These three seats are considered as Jat domains and
traditional seats of RLD.

of RLD, Baghpat, Muzaffarnagar and Mathura Lok Sabha seats of West Uttar Pradesh
have come. These three seats are considered as Jat domains and traditional
seats of RLD. At present, the three seats are in the possession of the BJP. In
such a situation, after getting the support of the SP-BSP, RLD has hoped to
return to it.
Speaker Akhilesh Yadav and RLD vice-president Jayant
Chaudhary announced on Tuesday that they will join the RLD's coalition as a
third partner by holding a joint press conference on Tuesday. Apart from
Baghpat, Mathura, apart from Baghpat, Mathura, Akhilesh has also given the RLD
the Muzaffarnagar seat and has solved the problems of the alliance and
prevented him from going to the Congress camp.
RLD has had its own good base in West Uttar Pradesh. But in
the flames of the Muzaffarnagar riots, all his politics became blurred. Jats of
the subcontinent turned a blind eye to the RLD that Chaudhary Ajit Singh lost
his traditional parliamentary seat like Baghpat. RLD did not get a single seat
in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Not only this, in the 2017 assembly elections,
only a MLA from RLD managed to win, but later she also went to BJP.
Chaudhary Ajit Singh, while addressing the current political
mood, has become a partner in the SP-BSP combine to preserve his political
existence. The result of this is that he had to satisfy himself with three
seats, while in one round West used to talk of RLD in UP.
Apart from Baghpat, Muzaffarnagar and Mathura of western UP,
RLD has its own strong base in Meerut, Hapur, Agra, Saharanpur, Amroha, Bijnor,
Nagina, Hathras, Aligarh and Karana Lok Sabha seats. RLD was successful in
winning five Lok Sabha seats in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections.
There are nearly a dozen Lok Sabha seats in West Uttar
Pradesh, where Muslims constitute 25 to 40 per cent of the population, whose
large number is with the SP. There is also a large number of dalit voters,
which has a strong hold on the BSP. There are many Lok Sabha seats in the West,
where the Jat voters decide to win. In one round they were with the RLD, but
Muzaffarnagar got involved with the BJP after the riots. However, Jat voters
have once again turned to RLD by the by-election by the Karaana Lok Sabha seat.
The situation in the last Lok Sabha election is not visible
this time. Especially the Jat community has turned towards RLD once again. If
the SP, BSP and RLD alliance have managed to unite Dalit, Muslim and Jat voters
then feeding lotus in the West UP for BJP can be quite difficult.
