Demolition of five mosques in UK, police involved in investigation

Five mosques of Britain's Birmingham city were attacked at night time. Anti-terrorist unit officers and local police started investigations.

After New Zealand mosques have now been attacked in the UK. Five mosques of Birmingham city were attacked at night. After this, the counter-insurgency unit officers and local police started the investigation.

The Midlands Police had received reports that a person was breaking the windows of the Jam Masjid on the Birchfield Road and shortly after that there was news of the same attack on a mosque in the city's Erdington area. It is believed that these attacks are related to each other.

The counter-insurgency unit started patrolling mosques and areas and in other areas the security of Islamic worship sites was increased. In view of the terrorist attacks on a mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand last Friday, the West Midlands Police said that it is working with anti-terrorism authorities to highlight the motive behind the incidents. In Christchurch attack 50 people died.

West Midlands Police Chief Constable Dave Thompson said that I can say that police and anti-terrorist unit are working side by side to find out the people responsible for the incident. He said that since the tragic incidents in Christchurch in New Zealand, the officers and staff of the West Midlands Police are working together with our religion partners across the region so that the mosques, churches and places of prayer can be assured of security and support.

Thompson said that there is no place for such attacks in our society and they will not be tolerated. I want to reassure people that West Midlands Police is doing all that can be done to bring criminals to justice. Britain's Home Minister Sajid Javed tweeted that I am worried over the news of incidents of subversion in mosques at Birmingham at night.
