Before this, Prime Minister Modi reached Gorakhpur. Here, he
launched the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and released the first installment of
Rs.2000 in the farmers' account. From the Gorakhpur stronghold of UP's CM Yogi
Adityanath, Modi also has strong allegations of anti-farmer opposition to the
opposition. The Prime Minister said that the limit for exemption of
agricultural debt has been increased from one year to 3 to 5 years. If the
farmers pay their debt on time, they will be given an additional rebate of
three percent in the interest rate. Now farmers will get loan of up to Rs
60,000, without bank guarantee, through Kisan credit card.
