Encounter in Shopian of Jammu and Kashmir, Army surrounds 3
terrorists
There is a continuous firing between the security forces and
the terrorists in Mumbai's Shopian district of south Kashmir. 2-3 terrorists
stormed a house in the area's premises and they are hiding in the same area and
are also firing continuously. In view of the encounter, internet services have
been blocked in the area.
On 13th day of the terrorist attack on Pulwama, Pakistan has
been disturbed by major action from India and continuous firing is being done
on the cross border. On Wednesday, a day after the air strikes in Balakot, an
encounter between the security forces and the terrorists continues in Kashmir's
Shopian. It is believed that 2-3 terrorists are hidden in the residential house
there. On getting information about terrorists being hidden in the area, the
Army's 23rd Paramilitary Force, CRPF and SOG launched a joint operation.

CRPF, Army and State Police started the encounter at 4.20 am
this morning with terrorists in Jamindar, Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir. Given the
increasing tension on the border, all the schools in the area of 5 kilometers
from Line of Control (LOC) in Poonch and Rajouri have been closed. Fearing
border crossings in these areas is happening.
Firing and mortars were left from across the border in
Manjkot Poonch, Naushera Rajouri, Akhnoor and Sialkot Sectors.
