AICWA letter to PM Modi, demand for visa to Pakistani
artists

Modi seeking a ban on issuing visas to Pakistani actors.

On Tuesday after the Air strikes, the Information and Broadcasting Ministry of
Pakistan decided to ban Indian films in the country. Said that no Indian films
and advertisements will be released from now on in Pakistan. All India Cine
Workers Association (AICWA) has also come into action after this decree of
neighboring country.

However, after the Pulwama attack, the makers of India had
already voluntarily decided to cancel the release of several films in Pakistan.
On Tuesday, AICWA wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking
complete ban on issuing any visa to Pakistani actors, film associations and
media persons. AICWA wrote in Letter: "After banning Pakistan on Indian
films and content, we request the entire film and media association not to
grant visas to Pakistani artists."
"We have to ensure that the Indian government takes
concrete action and imposes strict restrictions on countries having funding
terrorist financing like Pakistan. The whole country of 1.3 billion is with you
in fighting the terrorist sponsors of Pakistan."

"The whole film industry is proud to give such
courageous and responsible answer to the Indian Air Force, the Indian
government, in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, and we hope that the Indian
government will continue to do so. The Ministry of External Affairs and the
Ministry of Information & Broadcasting will issue order to issue this
request made by 1.3 billion people.
It is known that there is already a complete ban on working
with Pakistani artists in India. It has to be seen, now what the Indian
government decides on request to not grant visas to Pakistani artists.
